Kalimuendo leaves Forest for Frankfurt in loan switch

Eintracht Frankfurt have signed forward Arnaud Kalimuendo on loan from Nottingham Forest, with an option to make the move permanent.

Arnaud Kalimuendo has left Nottingham Forest to join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the rest of the season.

Kalimuendo arrived from Rennes in the summer transfer window, but the French striker has been limited to just 89 minutes in Premier League action this campaign.

And despite Chris Wood suffering a long-term injury, Forest have allowed the 23-year-old to head to the Bundesliga.

Eintracht also have the option to make Kalimuendo's loan move permanent at the end of the campaign.

Kalimuendo could make his Frankfurt debut against Borussia Dortmund on Friday, as the Bundesliga resumes after its winter break.

Forest, who claimed a potentially vital 2-1 win over West Ham on Tuesday, are in the market for a striker, and have been linked with Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Wolves are reportedly open to selling the Norway international this month after he lost his place in their starting lineup to Tolu Arokodare.

Strand Larsen turned in an impressive cameo from the bench for Rob Edwards' side on Wednesday, assisting Mateus Mane's equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Everton.
